Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Embedded Software Architect/Lead Developer to shape software architecture for power electronics in HVAC applications. You will lead embedded firmware design, collaborate with hardware teams on MCUs/MPUs, and drive development from concept to production while ensuring cybersecurity and safety.

You will guide cross-functional teams, maintain high code quality, and contribute to the roadmap with innovative approaches, including AI-related enhancements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in software development with architecture and system design.
• Experience with embedded control systems under real-time constraints.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate software development for power electronics and energy management devices.
• Ensure reliability and quality via architecture design, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
• Mentor developers to create maintainable, reusable firmware and robust docs.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on MCU/MPU selections and peripherals.
• Ensure software releases meet cybersecurity and functional safety standards.
• Work with Product Owners to translate requirements into software solutions.
• Follow technology trends and bring innovations into the roadmap.
• Promote pragmatic use of AI across the development lifecycle.
