Job summary

SiFly Aviation, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Camera & Video Systems Engineer to bridge sensors and product. You will develop firmware for constrained hardware, implement real-time processing, and design camera, video, and telemetry paths with low latency and predictable behavior.

You will calibrate image sensors, fuse sensors, and collaborate with the applications, embedded, flight-software, and hardware teams in Santa Clara and beyond to deliver reliable, field-ready systems.

Qualifications

• Embedded and real-time programming experience in C/C++ and Python on constrained hardware.
• Hands-on camera and imaging experience including sensor tuning, ISP behavior, and calibration.
• Experience building low-latency video and telemetry paths on embedded hardware.
• Strong grasp of DSP, image processing, and sensor fusion for real-time execution.
• Experience integrating sensors, actuators, and comms with time synchronization.

Responsibilities

• Write real-time firmware for constrained hardware.
• Apply signal processing, imaging, and estimation to extract information and improve performance.
• Fuse data from multiple sensors to improve reliability and accuracy.
• Own camera behavior: exposure, gain, ISO, focal characteristics, and calibration across units.
• Build video and data paths with low latency and clear output.
• Integrate complete systems: sensors, actuators, and interfaces as a working assembly.
• Debug across hardware, firmware, and software to root cause issues.
• Take ideas from prototype to product with rapid validation and refinement.
• Make results legible with clear measurements for debugging and evaluation.
• Work in the field testing on real aircraft and iterate quickly.
