Job summary

Clear Creek ISD Lead Custodian Elementary is responsible for supervising custodial operations on campus, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. The role entails reading and following cleaning procedures, directing staff, and maintaining buildings to support the district’s mission.

The position requires flexibility and engagement with staff, students, and the community, with an annualized hourly pay around $14.20 and 220 working days per year.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies.
• Ability to interface with staff, students, and community.
• Ability to work flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and direct the work of custodians at assigned campus.
• Help in the scheduling and training of custodians.
• Plan, oversee, and participate in all custodial work, maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
• Monitor the timecards of all custodial employees.
• Maintain an inventory and order custodial supplies from the operations department.
• Be responsible for the general fire safety, health, and comfort of the students and employees.
• Schedule and participate in the custodial support of district and community use events.
• Participate in drills and safety exercises to ensure safety and wellbeing of students.
