Qualifications

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of MSOffice Suites.
• Knowledge of basic techniques of minor building repairs.
• General knowledge of custodial cleaning practices.
• Ability to lead custodial staff members to perform cleaning tasks.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment, lift heavy equipment, and properly handle cleaning supplies.
• Ability to interface with staff, students, and community.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and participate in all custodial work; maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
• Maintain an inventory and order custodial supplies from the warehouse.
• Strive constantly to promote the safety, health, and comfort of the staff and public.
• Perform emergency minor repairs and cleaning services as necessary.
• Keep buildings and premises, including concourses, sidewalks, and bleachers neat and clean at all times.
• Check daily to ensure that all exit doors and gates are secured, and all panic bolts are working properly during school hours.
• Responsible for daily cleaning of offices, lunchrooms, meeting rooms, and corridors, including dusting furniture.
• Work overtime when requested due to meetings and staff training.
• Ensure that all restroom floors are scrubbed and sanitized and that all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains are cleaned and sanitized daily.
