Job summary

Hall Elem in League City, Texas is hiring an Evening Custodian as part of Clear Creek ISD. The role runs 8 hours per day, 220 days per year, at $12.61 per hour under Auxillary 12 pay grade.

The custodian will follow district cleaning procedures, maintain safety and cleanliness, operate cleaning equipment, and support district events and daily operations. Experience in custodial work encouraged, with flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, energy management and safety procedures
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
• Ability to work flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties for light duty, restrooms, utilities and vacuuming as part of team cleaning or zone cleaning management
• Maintain cleaning schedule: sweep, dust, remove gum, empty trash, clean boards and wipe surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, dispensers; inspect and clean cafeterias, gymnasiums, hallways and locker rooms
• Report maintenance problems to Lead Custodian; ensure doors and lights are secure before clocking out
• Participate in setup, breakdown and cleaning of areas during events and district activities
