Job summary

Matrix Design Group, LLC seeks a Senior RMA Repair Technician to lead advanced inspection, troubleshooting, testing, repair, and warranty evaluation for electronic assemblies returned via RMA. You will mentor technicians, manage inventory, and help improve repair procedures in a fast-paced home-office repair setting in Newburgh, IN.

Responsibilities include overseeing testing and repair of assemblies, documenting results, and collaborating with Customer Success, Engineering, Quality, and other

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or related field preferred; equivalent technical training and experience considered.
• 3-5 years in electronics testing, repair, manufacturing, field service, or related technical environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, bills of materials, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Proficient with electronic test and diagnostic equipment, including DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, troubleshooting, repair, and validation of returned electronic assemblies and subassemblies.
• Perform advanced component-level diagnostics using schematics, work instructions, test procedures, and standard electrical test equipment.
• Determine repairability versus scrap based on findings, cost, condition, and guidelines.
• Complete mechanical disassembly/reassembly to access components and verify operation after repair.
• Document test results, root cause findings, repairs, parts used, and final disposition in systems.
