Job summary

Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation seeks an Electronic Components Project Lead to oversee design, development, and testing of electrical components for machine and engine systems. Based at Chillicothe, IL, you’ll coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize resources, budgets, and schedules.

You’ll demonstrate strong electronics engineering expertise, drive technical solutions, and guide staff while maintaining client relationships and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field.
• 8 years of experience in mechanical/electrical engineering or related occupation.
• Experience with Creo or other 3D modelling systems; budgeting and estimating spreadsheets for projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple/complex engineering projects involving design, development and testing of electrical and electronic components for machine and engine systems.
• Coordinate with businesses, sales, marketing, and platform groups to manage resources and deliverables within projects.
• Oversee project progress and costs, communicate status with stakeholders, and address issues.
• Direct project staffing, motivate and develop project team; mentor and coach others in technical competence.
