Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking an EE Lab Master Technician Lead in Rockford to supervise a team of technicians and ensure reliable equipment operation. The role focuses on repair, calibration, and maintenance of complex systems in production and development labs, coordinating with engineering and operators to meet safety and quality standards.

The position requires strong leadership, extensive experience in electronics repair, and the ability to interpret schematics.

Qualifications

• Typically requires minimum of 5 years of experience or minimum of 3 years with Advanced degree.
• Experience in electronic equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience measuring, analyzing, and calibrating instrumentation.
• Ability to read, interpret, and create equipment and wiring schematics.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of hourly technicians to ensure effective performance and adherence to standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex electronic equipment, including PCBs, motors, and drives.
• Perform equipment installation, machine setup, and ensure proper functioning through ongoing inspection and maintenance.
• Measure, analyze, and calibrate instrumentation and equipment for setup and check-out.
• Develop and troubleshoot electrical systems with engineering and operators.
• Read and create equipment and wiring schematics.
• Train operators and technicians on equipment use.
