Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial/industrial electrical projects in Lafayette, IN. You will mentor Journeymen, Apprentices and Helpers, ensure work quality, and coordinate materials and schedules with supervision.

You will read blueprints, interpret project specs, and enforce NEC and local codes while performing installation and troubleshooting tasks. This role requires strong leadership and on-site coordination.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach a team of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Strong reading of blueprints, specifications and project documents.
• Understanding of construction schedules and coordination with trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Ensure quality of work and adherence to standards.
• Develop manpower schedules for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and communicate to supervision.
• Ensure work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, panels and conductors.
• Read project drawings and lay out work including underground sections.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
