Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to maintain and improve control systems for plant equipment. You will calibrate, install, and debug instrumentation, and support electrical projects across production facilities.

The role requires a four-year electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training, an Oregon journeyman license, a valid driver’s license, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Safety compliance is essential in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Four years of competent performance in Electrical Technician duties.
• Completion of a four-year electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
• Two-year electronics training or equivalent.
• Oregon State Manufacturing Journeyman Plant Electricians License (or higher).
• Valid driver's license to drive PCC vehicles.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow complex blueprints, drawings, and QC manuals.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with limited supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, calibrate, design, install, and debug control systems for machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using test instruments and repair as needed.
• Install and maintain control panels, motors, and other electrical equipment.
• Plan and design instrumentation/electrical projects with technical input.
• Provide assistance in selecting new equipment and in planning tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and proper handling of hazardous waste.
