Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Milwaukie, OR is seeking a Manufacturing/Electrical Engineer who reports to the Facilities Manager and leads process, manufacturing, electrical or controls engineering initiatives.

You will design equipment, oversee installation, manage budgets, provide after-installation support, and coordinate with multiple teams, applying statistical methods to improve efficiency and reduce variability.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS degree in electrical engineering with 3-5 years relevant experience, or an MS degree with 3-4 years relevant experience.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical, industrial, materials science engineering along with investment casting technology.
• Knowledge and demonstrated ability in engineering principles and disciplines; employed manufacturing processes; statistical analysis; preparing specifications; ability to supervise/divide activities.

Responsibilities

• Specification and design of equipment for the manufacturing.
• Direct installation of equipment and processes in the manufacturing environment.
• Responsible for budgets and keeping projects on budget.
• Provide after-installation equipment support and improvement.
• Oversee general construction projects.
• Interface smoothly with other departments to develop joint plans for resolving parts problems.
• Work with multiple teams using math and statistics to model plans.
• Develop and adhere to project timetables with troubleshooting as needed.
• Represent PCC with customers and suppliers.
