Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Oregon seeks a Manufacturing/Electrical Engineer who reports to the Facilities Manager and may perform Process, Manufacturing, Electrical or Controls Engineering duties.

You will design equipment for manufacturing, supervise engineers or technicians, manage budgets, and install processes on the factory floor. You should have a BS in Electrical Engineering with 3–5 years’ experience (MS if desired), strong PLC/HMI skills, CAD experience, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering with 3-5 years experience or MS with 3-4 years.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical, industrial, and materials engineering with investment casting tech.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes and statistics.
• Ability to supervise professionals with diverse expertise.

Responsibilities

• Specify and design equipment for the manufacturing operations.
• Procure equipment for production needs and manage budgets.
• Direct installation of equipment and processes on the factory floor.
• Provide after-installation support and ongoing improvement.
• Familiarity with CAD and electrical schematics.
• Interface with departments to resolve parts problems and goals.
• Work with multiple teams to model plans using math/statistics.
• Represent PCC with customers and suppliers.
• Develop and adhere to project timetables and budgets.
• Exercise independent judgment to stop manufacturing when needed.
