Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead and contribute to aircraft subsystem development from concept through sustainment. You will craft hydraulic and electrical schematics, select components, and define power architectures for cradle-to-grave programs.

You will act as SME within a 10+-member team, guide subcontractors, present to senior leadership, and ensure airworthiness through rigorous testing, verification, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with extensive related experience or advanced degrees as listed.
• Experience leading system development from concept to sustainment.
• Proven project management capabilities and SME for engineering teams.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government clearance and SAP clearance.
• Citizenship required for government clearance positions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or contribute on multiple aircraft subsystem development efforts.
• Create hydraulic and electrical schematics for functional systems.
• Lead trade studies, architecture definition, and system testing.
• Manage subcontractors and serve as technical POC for hardware.
• Develop and execute system-level test plans and verification.
• Prepare technical briefings for senior leadership.
