Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Quality Engineer in Huntsville, AL to maintain test environment processes and drive root-cause investigations within the Hypersonic program.

Responsibilities include inspecting components per drawings, approving instructions and purchases, and performing environmental testing of electrical boards and parts, with a focus on conforming to ISO9001/AS9100 and IPC standards. U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or MS with 2 years.
• Must be US citizen with Secret clearance and North Alabama residency or willing to relocate.
• Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
• IPC 610/620 or J standard certification.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and use inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain processes in the test environment.
• Develop solutions to complex issues that impact multiple areas.
• Communicate with internal team members and client teams; may involve external parties.
• Inspect components and assembled parts in accordance with drawings.
• Review and approve assembly instructions.
• Approve procurement requisitions.
• Read and understand drawings and technical data packages.
• Write non-conformances and start investigations to root cause.
• Perform environmental testing and analysis of electrical boards and components for non-conformances.
• Complete FAI review from supplier.
• Report supplier notices of changes to management.
