Job summary

Leidos's Defense Systems Sector in Huntsville, AL seeks an Electrical Engineer to join the CHGB program. You will lead test engineers, coordinate with program integrators, and drive acceptance/testing of flight hardware in a lab environment.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years (or 6+ with a Masters) of relevant experience, MIL-STD-810 exposure, and a strong background in manufacturing/test engineering. Security clearances and DoD missile program experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from ABET-accredited college; 8+ years of relevant experience or a Masters with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a MIL-STD-810 Test Environment.
• Background in Manufacturing and/or Test Engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret Electrical/Mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in Leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of Test Engineers (Electrical/Mechanical), performing Acceptance and Qualification testing of Flight Hardware.
• Help develop/implement strategies for process improvements and streamline test events within the Test Group.
• Coordinate with ECL Program Integrator to understand priorities and assign tasks to ensure full coverage for all test areas.
• Become the POC for Engineering and Quality for Discrepancy processing.
• Work with ECL Program Integrator on resource loading and process streamlining; understand KPIs and metrics.
