Job summary

Electtria is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field delivery of the electrical scope on utility-scale solar, battery storage, and substation projects. You’ll be the on-site accountable lead for safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and crews to execute drawings and specs, manage underground cabling, inverters, medium-voltage systems, and drive milestones.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in electrical construction, ideally on utility-scale energy or infrastructure projects
• Hands-on experience with utility-scale solar PV construction
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and construction documents

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site electrical construction across solar, BESS, and substation projects
• Direct electrical subcontractors, crews, and electricians, keeping work safe and aligned with project requirements
• Plan and coordinate day-to-day electrical activities with project managers, engineers, and fellow superintendents
• Verify that installations match approved drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical codes
• Own the electrical construction schedule and drive delivery against milestones
• Study drawings, plans, and specs to guide accurate field execution
• Arrange materials, equipment, and labour so crews are never held up
• Carry out regular site walks to check quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards
• Work with engineering and project management to troubleshoot and resolve field issues
• Take part in daily site meetings, safety briefings, and coordination sessions
• Enforce OSHA requirements and site-specific safety procedures
• Monitor progress and report electrical installation status to project leadership
• Support testing and commissioning as projects near completion
• Help close out punch lists and complete final electrical handover
• Travel to project sites as needed
