Job summary

CS Erickson is seeking an Electrical Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems at client locations. You will work both in the field and on-site, ensuring safe, efficient operation and minimal downtime while delivering exceptional service.

The role requires strong electrical knowledge, adherence to codes and safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components, including their installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
• Ability to effectively use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of electrical systems, including panels, circuits, motors, generators, transformers, and lighting systems.
• Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and implement effective solutions.
• Install, upgrade, and modify electrical systems and equipment while ensuring code compliance.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to understand requirements, timelines, and priorities.
• Provide accurate and detailed reports on work performed, including observations and time logs.
