Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Electrical Power Systems Engineer for their Berkeley, MO team. You will serve as the technical lead for electrical power architecture efforts supporting naval shipbuilding programs, spending ~50% of time leading engineers and guiding technical direction while remaining hands-on.

You will lead development and modification of power system architectures, translate customer requirements into designs, support ship construction, review Navy questions, and mentor a team

Qualifications

• 14+ years of Electrical Power Systems Architecture, Design, and Analysis experience.
• Strong background in electrical power distribution, generation, and power system design.
• Experience leading complex engineering efforts and mentoring technical teams.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and lead designs from concept through implementation.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and modification of electrical power system architectures for naval shipbuilding.
• Translate customer requirements into system designs and support ship construction.
• Provide technical oversight to a team of ~12 engineers; mentor juniors.
• Balance strategic guidance with detailed engineering execution; interact with Navy stakeholders.
• Evaluate design changes and drive solutions through implementation.
