Ilocatum in Stafford, TX is seeking an Electrical Power Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience to develop load studies, single-line diagrams, and construction packages suitable for PE stamping. The role emphasizes NEC compliance, power distribution, and coordination with vendors.

Responsibilities include field verifications, device settings, start-up and commissioning, and after-hours support. Travel up to 25% is expected; familiarity with ETAP/SKM/EasyPower, AutoCAD, and Excel is

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical power design and package development for PE stamping.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE 3000 Series, API 500 preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with power system modeling tools (ETAP/SKM/EasyPower) and protective relays.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of electrical power load studies and construction packages stamped by PE.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment pricing and BOMs.
• Perform field verifications and as-building of existing E&I infrastructure.
• Oversee start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of power systems.
• Provide after-hours support to clients as needed.
• Support project managers with cost estimates and proposals.
