Job summary

Sterling St James Inc. seeks an Electrical Power Design Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to lead load studies, prepare PE-stampable construction packages, and develop power specifications for projects. The role includes BOM development, field verifications, and commissioning activities.

You will collaborate with PMs, provide after-hours client support, and travel up to 25% to meet project needs while leveraging NEC, IEEE, and API standards with AutoCAD and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in development of electrical construction and specification packages for P.E. stamping.
• NEC, IEEE 3000 Series, API 500 knowledge.
• AutoCAD and Excel proficiency; Power system modeling tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of electrical power load studies.
• Lead development of construction packages suitable for PE stamping.
• Lead development of electrical power specifications for construction packages.
• Develop BOMs and coordinate with vendors for pricing.
• Perform field verification of E&I infrastructure.
• Execute factory acceptance testing on electrical power equipment.
• Lead start-up and commissioning including E&I troubleshooting.
• Provide after-hours support for clients.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on deliverables and change orders.
• Assist with cost estimates and proposals for new projects.
• Travel ±25%.
