Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EIC) Engineer in Kansas City, MO to lead electrical and I&C design packages for Oil & Gas and Utility projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, review vendor submittals, and coordinate with clients, vendors, and discipline leads throughout all project phases, while delivering safe, practical, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree is required.
• Master's degree can substitute for 1 year of experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complete Electrical and I&C design packages.
• Review and coordinate across disciplines with project managers and clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers on electrical scope and standards.
• Support FAT/SAT and field integration planning.
• Contribute to proposals, scope development, cost estimating, and scheduling.
