Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to oversee the direct work of a crew on commercial and industrial electrical installations, alterations, and repairs. The Foreman will lead, train, and evaluate a crew while ensuring work quality and safety on site.

The role requires strong leadership, blueprint reading, and collaboration with other trades, with the ability to manage schedules and maintain project timelines under NEC guidelines.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead and coach a crew of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Strong understanding of blueprints and project documents.
• Effective communication with other trades and trade supervisors.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands and communicate lists to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and communicating it to the team.
• Ensure all work by the crew is within NEC guidelines.
• Independently measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduits.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out small areas from electrical drawings and documents, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
