Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the preparation of bid and cost estimates for electrical construction projects nationwide. You will work with estimators, suppliers, and customers to complete competitive estimates and ensure compliant documentation.

The role requires reading blueprints, evaluating scope, and mentoring junior estimators. Rosendin offers ESOP, 401k, annual bonus, and comprehensive benefits, with travel up to 10% and a strong ownership culture.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimating.
• Estimate all types of projects and coordinate group work.
• Mentor and assist with the development of Estimators.
• Identify and meet customers' needs and requirements.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and a team player.
• Interact effectively with all levels of staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and complete the estimate printout.
• Identify key elements to ensure competitive estimates.
• Review specifications and drawings; attend pre-bid meetings.
• Evaluate value engineering opportunities.
• Lead sub-estimator teams for assigned bids.
• Maintain working documents backing the estimate figures.
• Develop labor productivity and unit costs from site conditions.
• Prepare material/equipment listings and quotes.
