Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support water and wastewater projects across multiple U.S. offices.

Remote work may be available at the Company's discretion, with primary locations in Kennesaw, GA and other offices. You will design electrical systems, perform power studies, develop P&IDs, and ensure compliance with NFPA/IEEE standards while leading project teams and coordinating with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college or university in electrical engineering (required).
• Professional registration (P.E.) preferred.
• At least 7 years (8+ preferred) of progressive experience in electrical engineering with a focus on process engineering projects.
• Strong background with industrial equipment, electrical motors and VFDs, power distribution, building service and wiring, and process controls/automation.
• Knowledge of NFPA, IEEE and applicable codes; experience with Electrical Safety and Arc Flash analyses (preferred).
• OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and related requirements may be necessary.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.
• U.S. citizenship required for federal projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and mentor staff on challenging electrical projects across our process engineering and water/wastewater practices.
• Design and develop electrical systems in accordance with codes and standards; perform load flow, short-circuit studies, and protection coordination analyses.
• Prepare technical documentation, single-line diagrams, schematics, and drawings for power and control systems.
• Conduct site surveys to assess installation and operation of electrical and control systems; coordinate with clients and regulatory personnel.
• Lead scoping, planning, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects; contribute to business development and client management.
• Travel to client facilities as needed and support project startup and commissioning.
