Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Electrical Engineering Lead) to join our Energy team in a hybrid Houston setting. You will lead complex industrial and power-generation projects, mentor engineers, and interface with clients, utilities, and regulators.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience leading engineering teams and multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience with medium-voltage and high-voltage power systems and power generation facilities.
• Ability to interface with clients, plant personnel, utilities, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer or Engineer of Record.
• Provide technical oversight for complex industrial and power-generation projects.
• Review and approve electrical designs, specifications, and calculations.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and technical quality.
• Support commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of power systems.
• Lead major capital projects and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
