Job summary

Vertiv in Pelzer, SC seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to guide projects from pre‑sales through commissioning. You will design UPS and DC power systems, select switchgear, and develop BOMs in alignment with Vertiv standards.

The role requires collaboration with contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure code compliance and on‑time delivery. You will review submittals, size standby generators, and provide technical support while traveling to sites for field assessments and startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• PE License – optional.
• Min 4 years electrical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of low voltage switchgear design and NEC codes.
• Experience with AutoDesk suite (AutoCAD/Revit).
• Proficient in MS Office and reading electrical drawings.
• Ability to research new designs and methods for data center equipment.
• Strong communication, detail orientation and leadership/PM skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Engineer on projects from pre‑sales to commissioning.
• Design UPS/DC power systems and switchgear configurations.
• Create and modify BOMs and standard assemblies.
• Coordinate with contractors, architects and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with codes and submittals.
• Perform sizing analyses for generators and loads.
• Support on-site integration and commissioning activities.
• Travel to sites for field reviews and evaluations.
• Propose innovative, cost‑saving solutions without compromising quality.
