Job summary

ENFRA LLC in Illinois is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to provide technical authority as the Engineer of Record for electrical designs, studies, and solutions on complex projects. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with project teams and AHJ, ensure NEC compliance, and drive quality while supporting budgets and schedules.

This role requires a PE, a relevant degree, and at least ten years post-license experience on large commercial, healthcare and CEP projects.

Qualifications

PE license and a BCE degree are required, with 10 years post-licensure experience.
Experience with large commercial, healthcare and education projects.
Strong knowledge of NEC and ability to lead complex electrical design.
Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary disciplines.

Responsibilities

Oversee electrical engineering of projects in line with NEC and company standards.
Support Project Manager with budgets, plans, schedules.
Execute engineering work within budget, schedule, and quality targets.
Prepare study reports, drawings, and specs; stamp as required.
Mentor Electrical Engineers, Designers, BIM/CAD Technicians.
Coordinate with team, clients, and AHJ; document meeting notes.
Develop and maintain electrical design standards, tools, and procedures.
Provide leadership and career development for staff.
