Job summary
Valar Atomics is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to guide and grow the electrical engineering team across the reactor, nuclear fuel manufacturing, power generation, and distribution. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic hiring and organizational development in a first-of-a-kind nuclear program.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience across power generation, utility, process, or industrial projects.
- Experience leading an electrical engineering team: directing work and developing engineers.
- Experience building an engineering team through direct hiring: roles, recruitment, onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Build the electrical engineering team: define roles, recruit, onboard engineers.
- Lead day-to-day team priorities across plant areas and review outputs.
- Own engineering resourcing strategy and allocation for internal vs. contractor staff.
- Lead vendor engagement for major electrical packages and approve technical bids.
