Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer for the KW Texas office in Dallas or Houston. You will design complex power and building systems, lead a team of electrical engineers, and manage projects from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, Revit proficiency, 7+ years of experience, and strong communication skills to liaise with design, client, and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with electrical emphasis.
• 7+ years designing electrical systems for high‑performing commercial or industrial facilities.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience mentoring others in the field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and codes.
• Attention to detail, highly organized, self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality technical and professional deliverables for projects and proposals.
• Lead development of initial electrical system concepts.
• Develop work plans to address technical issues within project time and budget.
• Collaborate with internal project discipline teams, equipment vendors and manufacturers.
• Perform project management activities including proposals, establishing budgets, and client interactions.
• Design complex electrical power and building systems (MV/LV, lighting, grounding, etc.).
• Survey and evaluate existing conditions; perform construction administration.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
