Burns & McDonnell in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design, planning and client coordination for mission critical data center projects. You will develop power distribution, medium/high voltage systems, and UPS/infrastructure concepts with adherence to ANSI/IEEE standards.

The role requires FE or PE pathway, ABET-accredited degree, and 7+ years EPC project experience. Travel up to 25% is expected; strong communication and team leadership are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.
• ABET-accredited path with FE exam completion if applicable; PE preferred.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience; EPC project experience preferred.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
• Proficiency with ANSI and IEEE standards; strong communication skills.
• Experience leading discipline design on large projects and mentoring teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design electrical systems/equipment to ensure reliability and uptime for mission critical markets.
• Advise clients on electrical systems and code compliance to meet needs.
• Monitor installation to verify conformance with design documents.
• Perform fault studies and load flow analyses; develop protection criteria.
• Develop concept studies and master plans for power distribution, MCCs, lighting, and controls.
• Review equipment designs and specifications being purchased or fabricated.
• Provide electrical design direction and resource management on multi-discipline projects.
• Lead recruitment and management of resources to meet business needs.
• Perform quality reviews of detailed engineering documents and specs.
