Job summary

Leidos Defense Electrical Systems Department in Huntsville, AL seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to join a high-performing, multidisciplinary team. You will engage across hardware life cycle from concept to manufacturing, coordinating with IPTs and customers to deliver complex aerospace and military systems.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in production transitions, hands-on lab work with test equipment, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years in design and test of electronics or 6+ with MS.
• Experience leading teams through LRIP to full-rate production.
• Ability to obtain and maintain secret security clearance.
• Hands-on lab with instrumentation and test methods.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition LRUs to production.
• Serve as IPT Lead coordinating System IPT and Production IPT.
• Provide technical direction to a team through product lifecycle.
• Translate tasks into Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) deliverables.
• Ensure tasks meet production and manufacturing timelines.
• Review designs and test data for feedback to engineers.
• Oversee development and integration of Special Test Equipment (STE).
• Contribute to proposals with estimates and artifacts.
• Manage obsolescence of electrical components throughout life cycle.
• Support validation, testing, and compliance artifacts.
