Job summary

Leidos Defense seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to join the Huntsville team. The role focuses on solving complex electrical problems across diverse disciplines, from power distribution to RF and digital design, using a mix of off-the-shelf and custom solutions.

The candidate will work with lab equipment and CAD tools to define, document, and release designs, collaborating with project teams on innovative, mission-critical solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering or STEM degree with 4+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and SolidWorks Electrical.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain/maintain Final Secret or Secret clearance.
• Willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex electrical problems using off-the-shelf parts or custom solutions.
• Design across power distribution, RF, logic/controls, and analog/digital circuits.
• Use test equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and network analyzers.
• Create detailed block diagrams for top-level systems and subassemblies.
• Document designs using KiCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, Visio, or similar.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative solutions across applications.
