Job summary

Jobot in Dallas is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead custom control panel projects from design to assembly, ensuring UL/NEC compliance and performance optimization. You’ll work on diverse industrial applications and guide project teams through design reviews and procurement decisions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in panel design and strong AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN skills, with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of professional experience in control panel design for industrial settings.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN and NEC/UL standards.

Responsibilities

End-to-end design of control panel solutions for client specs and industry standards.
Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
Perform power calculations, voltage drops, and short-circuit studies for safety.
Generate Bills of Materials and advise procurement on components.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, PMs, and clients on design goals.
Provide hands-on support during assembly to match engineering design.
Ensure compliance with UL 508A, UL 67, UL 891, and NEC.
Drive continuous improvement for cost, reliability and maintenance.
