Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking a Senior Panel Designer to lead high- quality panel design documentation for industrial automation projects. You will mentor junior designers, drive design standards, and support continuous improvement across multiple project types.

The role requires 10+ years of design/drafting experience, strong proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN Pro Panel, and knowledge of NEC & UL 508A/698A. Hybrid/onsite work options available at our Dallas area headquarters.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics and customer drawings.
• Attention to detail with quality and consistency.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex panel design efforts for large-scale control systems.
• Mentor junior designers and support standardization initiatives.
• Develop panel layout, power/heat calculations and PLC drawings.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and project teams.
