Description

You will lead a team on interesting and challenging projects involving investigating, troubleshooting, and solving various electrical engineering issues to support single and multi-discipline projects.

The majority of our projects require multi-discipline interface and coordination.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading group efforts to ensure successful completion of electrical engineering project deliverables, meeting technical, quality, financial, and project control expectations.
2. Defining scope of work, deliverables (calculations, specifications, drawings, design changes), and tracking progress to maintain scope and budget.
3. Conducting routine status meetings, submitting progress reports, and resolving open items and issues.
4. Coordinating the completion of project deliverables.
5. Leading detailed design phases, including interface and coordination with other disciplines.
6. Developing project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear power plants.
7. Providing technical oversight for activities such as design change packages, engineering calculations, equipment specifications, and bid evaluations.
8. Interfacing with clients to validate scope and ensure satisfaction.
9. Mentoring and guiding team development.
10. Identifying client needs for strategic opportunities and leveraging relationships for follow-on work.
11. Preparing and coordinating multi-discipline proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least ten years’ experience in electrical system design for power plants.
• Minimum three years leading an engineering design team through all project phases.
• Experience in selecting equipment, preparing design change packages, calculations, and specifications.
• Experience acting as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role.
• Knowledge of electrical system design, including low and medium voltage distribution systems.
• Effective communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear station.
• PE licensure is preferred.
