Summary

We are hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including low and medium voltage power, standby power, motor controls, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Independently complete engineering tasks using professional judgment within established local, state, and federal criteria.
• Design water/wastewater and utility projects to meet client needs.
• Ensure accuracy through HR Green's QA/QC processes.
• Identify and address technical, schedule, or financial issues proactively, communicating effectively with the Project Manager.
• Assist in bidding or contractor selection when authorized.
• Respond to contractor questions, issue project addenda, and prepare change orders as needed.
• Participate in preparing engineering service proposals, including calculations, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Sign and seal engineering documents as an authorized company representative.
• Communicate technical matters directly with clients.
• Under the Project Manager's guidance, assign and manage tasks for staff engineers and project team members.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Professional registration (P.E.) in one or more states or the ability to obtain within six months.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 4 years in design/engineering of electrical systems for infrastructure or buildings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit (or similar) drafting systems.
• Water/wastewater design experience is a plus but not required.

Compensation Range

$101,200.00 - $161,600.00

The compensation depends on education, experience, skills, and location, and may include base salary and performance bonuses.
