Base pay range

EG&R Engineering PC is a fast-growing multi-disciplinary engineering firm located in Cranbury, NJ. EG&R provides electrical, mechanical, environmental, and geotechnical engineering services for various markets including government, utilities/power, waste-to-energy companies, transit agencies, manufacturing industries, pharmaceuticals, A-E firms/Architects, contractors, and commercial clients.

EG&R is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer who is self-motivated and ready to contribute to the company's future success.

Responsibilities:

• Create electrical protection & control and physical layout design deliverables for Power Plants and Substations.
• Develop electrical protection & control design schemes for power plants & commercial facilities.
• Develop electrical equipment arrangement drawings and substation layout drawings.
• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications for power distribution & substation projects.
• Consult with clients, engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Perform engineering/construction inspection and related tasks.
• Work on a hybrid schedule with 1-2 remote days.
• Travel within NJ/NY/PA metro area (about 5%).
• Report to the Director of Engineering, P.E.

Requirements:

• BSc in electrical engineering, electronic engineering (with coursework in Power systems).
• Proficiency in EE fundamentals, Electrical Codes, and Standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, etc.).
• Good understanding of protection & control systems for electrical substations & power plants.
• Knowledge of high voltage breaker control schemes, Microstation, ETAP, C, R, SPSS, etc.
• Ability to develop and implement relay test plans, use SKM power system software & SEL Acselerator for relay programming.
