Job summary

Bechtel is hiring an Electrical Design professional to plan, develop, and review electrical engineering designs for complex projects. You will produce 2D/3D CAD drawings, coordinate with clients, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple locations including Knoxville, Reston, and Ogden.

The role requires 7–12 years of experience (or a combination of 7–8 years with an AA/AS or CAD certificate). Military service and ability to pass background checks are valued.

Qualifications

• AA/AS or CAD certificate with 7–8 years experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience without a degree.
• Must have completed a minimum of 4 years of active-duty military service in the United States Armed Forces, with an honorable discharge.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check.

Responsibilities

• Leads or administers work for Electrical designers and drafters, including CAD design models and construction drawings.
• Electrical design of raceway, equipment location, and layout; inputting and updating schedules.
• Produce drawings/documentation with lighting, grounding, and protection designs that comply with codes.
