Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6–10 electrical, firmware and packaging engineers. You will guide technical direction, manage programs, and collaborate across engineering groups to deliver robust control systems.

The role requires a BS in Electrical, Firmware or Computer Engineering, 5+ years in design or management of ECU/HV assemblies, and 3 years leading projects; DoD clearance is required, with travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Firmware or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience designing and/or managing ECU development or high voltage motor controllers.
• 3 years of leading technical projects or initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 6-10 electrical engineers.
• Collaborate across engineering and operating groups.
• Provide development, performance reviews, mentoring, and career planning for direct reports.
• Assign programs to direct reports and ensure on-time delivery within technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
• Champion continuous improvement in the design and development processes.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support to your team.
• Act as a key contributor during design reviews, validating adherence to internal standards.
• Execute detailed design and analyses including layout, dynamic modelling, thermal and structural analysis.
