Job summary

Besxar Space Industries, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for Fabships and own major ECAD assemblies.

You will translate system requirements into flight‑worthy electrical hardware, drive the full hardware lifecycle, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure reliability in space environments. This role emphasizes hands‑on lab work, ruthless attention to detail, and mentorship of junior engineers as Besxar scales its space manufacturing

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive electrical design engineering experience on complex hardware.
• Ownership of large ECAD assemblies and high‑reliability product development.
• Strong proficiency with modern ECAD platforms and release documentation.
• Experience with space-grade components and radiation-tolerant designs.
• Hands-on build and lab bring‑up experience with hardware in lab or on floor.
• Experience with high‑power converters and RF/mixed-signal designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and R&D for Besxar Fabships across power electronics, avionics, RF subsystems, instrumentation, DAQ, and test interfaces.
• Directly own major ECAD assemblies and electrical product structure/BOM for critical systems; maintain interfaces and release packages.
• Translate system requirements into manufacturable, testable electrical designs with emphasis on reliability, EMI/EMC, and radiation considerations.
• Drive hardware lifecycle from concepting through bring‑up, verification, qualification, and flight or mission feedback.
• Design and analyze circuits for high‑power, RF, and space instrumentation environments with space-rated components.
• Lead hands‑on assembly, lab bring‑up, and integration of PCBAs, harnesses, enclosures, and test setups.
• Create test plans, procedures, and documentation; contribute to higher level test strategies and environmental test definitions.
• Lead post‑launch inspection criteria, checkout flows, and HITL capabilities to accelerate debugging.
• Mentor engineers and define ECAD conventions, library management, and release processes; drive cross‑functional alignment.
• Collaborate with technicians, manufacturing, supply chain, and vendors to move from design to fabrication.
• Support design reviews, root-cause investigations, and configuration changes with strong communication.
