AdAstra Talent Advisors partners with a space-focused client to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer. You will own the electrical systems for reusable manufacturing vessels, translating mission requirements into flightworthy hardware and scalable integration plans.

You will work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with exceptional engineers across disciplines, shaping the engineering playbook and driving hardware from concept through flight and iterations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive electrical design experience.
• Proficiency with ECAD tools and release/documentation processes.
• Strong fundamentals in analog/mixed-signal design and safety considerations.
• Hands-on build, lab bring-up, and supplier collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical design and R&D for hardware across power electronics, avionics, RF, and test interfaces.
• Own major ECAD assemblies and BOM for critical systems and manage configuration discipline.
• Oversee full hardware lifecycle from concept to flight, including schematic capture, PCB layout, build, bring-up, verification, and integration.
• Design and analyze circuits for high-power, mixed-signal interfaces using space-rated components.
• Lead hands-on assembly, lab bring-up, and post-launch test flows for repeated flight operations.
• Develop HITL and bench test capabilities to validate subsystem behavior and accelerate debugging.
• Define the team's electrical engineering direction and mentor engineers as the team grows.
