Job summary

Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for a remote role. You will lead electrical design and validation across major subsystems, translating requirements into robust electrical designs and owning schematics, BOMs, and specifications.

You’ll drive reviews, prototypes, testing, and troubleshooting while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and ~5+ years in electrical design or electromechanical systems, with knowledge of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of industrial electrical design or electromechanical experience.
• Familiar with NEC, UL and derating criteria.
• Experience with design documentation, testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and validation for major subsystems and product areas.
• Translate system requirements into robust electrical designs.
• Own schematics, drawings, calculations, specifications, and BOMs.
• Drive design reviews, prototypes, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and projects.
