Job summary

Craig Technologies in Ogden, UT is seeking a Supervising Designer Electrical Engineering to lead a design team and produce NFPA 70 compliant facility designs for Sentinel program facilities. You will create layouts, elevations, details, and BOMs in AutoCAD and SmartSketch and maintain a 3D model in SmartPlant 3D.

You will supervise junior and senior designers, manage schedules, perform technical design reviews, and coordinate across disciplines with construction and startup.

Qualifications

• Minimum AA/AS or CAD certificate with 10–12 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of related work experience.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a project schedule and ensure design deliverables are on time.
• Lead a team of 10–12 designers; approve time records and reviews.
• Perform technical reviews to meet customer and code requirements.
• Coordinate 3D model clashes with other disciplines and resolve promptly.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior designers.
• Coordinate designs across disciplines (construction/startup).
• Communicate design inputs and schedule expectations clearly.
