Job summary

Craig Technologies is seeking a lead designer to supervise a team of designers and deliver NFPA 70 code-compliant facility designs for Sentinel program facilities. You will produce design drawings in AutoCAD and SmartSketch and maintain a clash-free SmartPlant 3D model including layouts, elevations, details, and BOMs for grounding, lighting, raceways, and duct banks.

Qualifications

Requires AA/AS or Certificate in Engineering/CAD with 10-12 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Must be a United States citizen.
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Maintain project schedule and ensure design deliverables are completed on time.
Lead a team of up to 10–12 designers and approve time records and reviews.
Perform technical design reviews to ensure customer and code requirements are met.
Coordinate model changes with clients and ensure clashes are resolved promptly.
Provide training and mentoring to junior designers.
Coordinate designs between disciplines and construction/startup.
