Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or international equivalent).
• 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Experience with electrical design for DoD/USAF projects.
• Proficient with ETAP, AutoCAD, and other design tools.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, grounding, cable sizing, and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations for Sentinel program electrical systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Develop new design drawings using AutoCAD, including single lines, panel schedules, schematics, grounding, and protection.
• Perform power system analysis and calculations with ETAP (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor starting, Relay Coordination, Arc Flash).
• Complete facility calculations: lighting design with AGI 32, ground grid sizing, cable de-rating.
• Size equipment: transformers, panels, surge devices, UPS and battery sizing.
• Circuit breaker and cable sizing per NFPA 70.
• Develop specs using SpecsIntact.
• Prepare procurement documentation and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Review vendor submittals and coordinate with Systems engineering and client.
