Job summary

Craig Technologies is seeking a SmartPlant 3D Designer to prepare electrical 3D models and 2D AutoCAD/SmartSketch drawings for new facility infrastructure supporting DoD and USAF projects under the Sentinel program. The role requires strong organizational and teamwork skills, problem-solving ability, and a proactive, innovative mindset.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.
• Knowledge & application of NEC, NEMA/ANSI/IEEE standards.
• Experience with an electronic Cable Management System (SETROUTE).
• Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines and meet deadlines.
• Experience on nuclear/industrial facilities electrical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with Smartplant 3D, SmartSketch and AutoCAD.
• Clear communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Support design development of electrical systems and equipment for the Sentinel program by preparing models and drawings.
• Coordinate with Electrical engineers, junior designers, and other disciplines in a team environment.
• Model electrical rooms, equipment, cable tray, conduit, lighting, and grounding in Smartplant 3D.
• Create BOMs and drawing installation details using SmartSketch and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting and grounding calculations using AGI 32 and ETAP.
• Coordinate 3D model activities with other disciplines.
• Produce layouts/elevations for raceway design, equipment placement, and lighting layouts.
• Develop material specs using SpecsIntact.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, regulations, and standards.
• Possibly consult Bechtel corporate guides and DoD project practices.
