Job summary

Pickett is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex engineering programs for electric utilities. You will drive project delivery, financial performance, and client satisfaction across a portfolio while mentoring teams and supporting business development.

You will coordinate with engineering leads, project controls, accounting, and marketing to expand client relationships and ensure timely, profitable outcomes across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing engineering or infrastructure projects (required).
• Demonstrated experience with large or complex projects for electric utilities.
• PE or PMP certification is required; utility or engineering consulting background preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and client-management skills; ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of engineering projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities.
• Provide leadership for scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety performance.
• Oversee project profitability and develop recovery plans as needed.
• Act as primary client relationship manager and pursue new opportunities.
• Coordinate between engineering leads, project teams, and functional managers.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules and resource forecasts with Accounting/Controls.
• Present project performance and risks to clients and leadership.
• Mentor project managers, engineers and staff; promote collaboration across functions.
• Support development of PM processes, tools and best practices.
