Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking an EHSS Senior Officer to safeguard personnel and assets. Responsibilities include monitoring CCTV, access control, and dispatch operations, while leading shift teammates and coordinating safety tasks.

The role collaborates with HR and the EHSS Director to enforce policies, report incidents, and provide emergency medical response, visitor management, and security training as needed. A strong reporting capability is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years security experience.
• A professional demeanor and excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to produce accurate, concise and detailed reports.
• Must be able to work a variable schedule with possible overtime.
• DPSST certification within 30 days of hire (Oregon Only).
• Bilingual ability in Spanish and English is preferred, but not required.
• Physical requirements include long walking, running, lifting up to 30 lbs, driving.

Responsibilities

• Manage badge access program.
• Manage campus key distribution and visitor processes.
• Provide training to new officers.
• Respond to calls for assistance from departments.
• Prepare and review incident reports.
• Support safety, security and life safety operations with analysis and follow-ups.
• Conduct inspections for safety and security risks.
• Investigate security improvements and employee safety suggestions.
• Investigate crimes against the company and document findings.
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure site safety and life safety operations.
• Provide emergency medical response and First Aid/CPR.
• Assist lobby receptionists and enforce badge procedures.
• Assist paramedics or in-house nurse when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
