Job summary

The EHSS Senior Officer at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. in Westerville, OH oversees CCTV, access control, and dispatch operations to safeguard personnel and assets.

You will lead peers on shift, communicate daily briefings, and document incidents across the organization. Working with Human Resources and the EHSS Director, you ensure policy enforcement, conduct risk assessments, and provide emergency response support, including First Aid and CPR, while maintaining a strong customer-service mindset

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years security experience.
• Ability to produce accurate, concise incident reports.
• DPSST certification within 30 days of hire (Oregon only) or state equivalent.
• Must be able to work a variable schedule with possible overtime.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Drug screening and background check required.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage badge access program.
• Manage campus key distribution.
• Provide training to new officers.
• Respond to calls for assistance.
• Prepare and review incident reports.
• Provide safety, security, and fire safety support activities.
• Investigate and evaluate safety improvements.
• Collaborate with supervisors to support life safety operations.
• Provide emergency medical response, First Aid and CPR.
• Greet visitors and issue badges.
• Assist paramedics and in-house nurse when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
