Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. is seeking an EHSS Officer to protect employees, property, and assets by monitoring security systems such as CCTV and access control, and by conducting routine patrols.

The role responds to safety and security calls, investigates incidents, and prepares detailed reports on findings. The position collaborates with Human Resources and Legal to ensure policy compliance and works with EHSS leadership to support safety initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety, security or related fields preferred.
• Ability to write clear incident reports and maintain logs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the premises to deter theft, vandalism or other criminal activities.
• Respond to calls/incidents for assistance from departments on campus.
• Operate CCTV systems and manage access control points.
• Document safety incidents, near misses, security breaches and alarms.
• Coordinate with emergency services and law enforcement as needed.
• Provide first aid/CPR assistance in medical emergencies when required.
• Draft daily logs and incident reports for review.
